The (Carioca Dance School) Escola Carioca de Dança's main activity is the Brazilian ballroom dancing and its various rhythms, under the direction of Marcelo Martins, trained by the teacher-choreographer Jaime Arôxa, one of the greatest exponents of this type of Brazilian dance. Marcelo Martins has extensive experience in training new dancers and using the Jaime Arôxa’s method, developed the Carioca method of dance.

As a member of the Jaime Arôxa Dance Company until 2001 and as a member of the Franco-Brazilian company La Salsamba, has performed in many Brazilian states and also in other countries. As director of the Nuevos Aires Tango Company, participated in several presentations in Rio de Janeiro.

Other highlights of the School are mounts for theater performances, workshops and cultural activities, besides assembling choreography.

The team of teachers is formed in the Carioca Dance School itself and works with its own teaching methodology focusing on quality and student satisfaction.

The School also offers weekly events with lots of dancing in your seat and external events , such as dances , tours and travel. It is a complete space with four refrigerated rooms for private lessons , group classes and rehearsals. We work with various rhythms such as Samba , Tango , Forro , Zouk , Salsa , among others.
